About me

I have loved everything sports since I was a little girl eagerly analyzing whatever game my family was watching that day. That love pushed me to become a reporter for Sports Illustrated Kids starting at 14 years old. Later, my passion for broadcasting and writing fueled me to launch my own podcast, Speak Up Sports, to highlight impactful women in sports and to write inspiring stories for mlb.comI have always dreamed of covering the Olympics, and was a correspondent for the 2024 Paris Olympics this past summer!

I am now a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill (with the credits of a junior) majoring in Media and Journalism, minoring in Entrepreneurship as an Innovation Scholar and in the Honors Carolina program. My dream is to be a professional sports broadcaster and trailblazer for the next generation of females in sports – by telling their stories, helping other young people find a place in the sporting world, and continuing to pave a path for youth broadcasters.

My dream is to be a professional sports broadcaster and trailblaze for the next generation of females in sports. I hope to cover every Olympics from Paris 2024 onward and commentate on the MLB World Series. I want to win Emmys and earn a spot in the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame one day!

From covering my 1st World Series in 2019 to being the youngest student selected for the Paris 2024 Olympics team from UNC, I hope to continue to forge a path for future women interested in sports. Through launching a chapter of AWSM (Association of Women in Sports Media) as the co-founder at UNC to spearheading a grant application (which won 2 camera kits for the Paris Olympics team) and covering a weekly sports segment in Carolina Ahora, I hope to continue to partner with international leaders and broadcasters to share my love of sports. My drive to report on sports at an international level brought me from the 2019 LLWS Championship to the 2019 USWNT soccer victory tour, the LLWS Championship in 2021 and 2022, the 2023 World Baseball Classic, to covering my 1st Olympics in Paris 2024!
